The Mosaic Theatre is a true community theatre serving the upstate of South Carolina. Our productions utilize performers and staff from pre school age through senior citizens and all points in between. What is unique about our theatre is that the actual business, facility, planning and finanace end of the theatre is carried out by Hanna-Westside Extension students, parents and staff. It serves not only as a theatre, but as a training ground for our students in construction, costume design, book keeping, culinary arts, etc. All these departments have worked together to design, build, wire, costume, advertise, dinner theatre, etc. to create the dream of the Mosaic Theatre. We are a giving our students a hands on, real life working experience while serving the artistic needs of the entire community.
Each year we present numerous dramas, musicals, musical events and entertainments. Past offerings include THE WIZARD OF OZ, AIDA, THE CRUCIBLE, ELLYMOSYNARY, MUSIC MAN, SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL to name just a few. Our productions are open for audition to all the public and we encourage you to come join us. We need performers, costume construction, set design, tech people, volunteers, etc. Come work with us. You will see what fun community theatre can be.

COSTUMES- You have creative license to create your own costume for this show. Other than the adult roles and Romeo and Juliet, you all need to create a costume persona for your self. We are looking for punk, Goth, Hip Hop looks. Capulet characters should base around black and silver base costumes. Montague characters should base around burgundy and gold base costumes. In addition each of you is responsible for finding costume pieces to add to your selected outfit for the party scene. These can include capes, horns, clown hats, feather and rhinestone masks, etc. to augment your costume. It is pre Halloween and you can find SPECTACULAR tights, masks, makeup, etc. for dirt cheap. Be sure and hit the stores before it is all gone though. See Holly Hughes, Andrea Lee or Kelly Gunning for costume ideas and suggestions.
